Our Programs
L'SPACE offers four dynamic programs designed to provide students with hands-on experience and professional development in space exploration. The Mission Concept Academy (MCA) allows participants to learn the process of developing a NASA mission concept, from defining science objectives, designing a spacecraft to carryout that science, and presenting a preliminary design review. The NASA Proposal Writing and Evaluation Experience (NPWEE) Academy teaches students how to identify NASA's needs and develop innovative solutions, guiding them through the process of writing and reviewing proposals.
The Lucy Mission Internship pairs students with mentors at one of NASA's partner sites, such as Goddard, SWRI, Lockheed Martin, or KinetX, for a 10-12 week period where they gain hands-on experience on projects sponsored by the Lucy Mission. Lastly, the Mentor Internship provides a unique opportunity for students to receive hands-on leadership experience by guiding MCA participants in various space science and engineering tasks. Enhancing their skills and preparing them for future careers in the aerospace field by being able to apply and teach the skills learned. Together, these programs offer a comprehensive pathway for students to engage with NASA's work and gain valuable experience in the aerospace industry.
